Where has it all gone?

The sweet song of Mother Earth

As we gathered berries in the meadow

The laughter of children

Grandmother telling you

The story of how Dayunisi

Formed the earth

The responsible young men

Who knew the value of life

The young women

Gathering flowers for a wedding

They call me Savage?

Who stood in silence

While they broke my pots

Ripped the blankets sewn with love

I held you close

Feeling your warmth

Carrying you through ice that cut my feet

Along the Path of Sorrows

Watching loved ones stop

Unable to move forward

My tears wet your face

As you faded into darkness

Until I carried only a cold

Soul-less body to my own grave

Harmony will be restored

And Maiara will dance

Gathering flowers

Picking Berries

Planting her warm kiss

On my cheek

The Day will come

When wrong will be right

And we will know the value

Of Human Spirit

Balance and Respect For Life
